ISG Project

The ISG Project is a grouping of well defined Alluvial gold targets controlled by GBM.  These targets are controlled either within freehold land owned by the GBM Group or under granted tenements or contracts with 3rd parties with tenements.  Processing at these target sites is to be carried out by 100% GBM subsidiary Industrial Sands & Gravels Ltd.

A necessary by product of the ISG operation is sale of large quantities of Industrial products, mainly Gravel and Sand, which are produced as part of the alluvial Gold production process.  Sale of these Industrial by products is in itself budgeted to be profitable, quite apart from production and sale of the Gold itself.

The alluvial gold grade of all the present ISG targets is extremely attractive – especially given sale of the industrial materials associated with them is budgeted in all cases to pay for the stripping of overburden and all extraction and processing costs.

As a separate but necessary activity ISG will also manage sale of the Industrial by products from other GBM projects, such as the sand by product generated by the Maxwells Processing Plant at Inglewood.

After the recovery of all available gold from these alluvial style resources ISG will maximise the value of the sand and gravel by-products from the gold recovery operations by a series of steps including screening, classifying, and as necessary crushing. An industry specific team is to be established to carry this out and to market and sell the quality products produced.

The longevity of this business from the target areas already controlled is such that GBM intends ISG to own and operate various items of mobile plant not just to extract the gold but to then wash, screen and crush the by product raw materials for sale.

ISG will also process and sell the alluvial by-products arising at other of GBM’s project areas, such as the Scandinavian Gully alluvial area at the Inglewood project.

The ISG project complements GBM's hard-rock gold operations, and once in production is expected to provide GBM a further and diversified revenue stream, and also provide greater knowledge of operating different types of gold production within the Bendigo region.
